I am extremely concerned about another application for development along The Esplanade Burleigh Heads. It has been noted that many of these developments do not conform to the GCCC’s own Town Plan and yet they are consistently giving the green light. GCCC needs to understand that this is an extremely small strip of land with a small roadway. Are these developers going to ensure the adequate parking will be provided within the plan? Have they considered the impact on the surrounding buildings and the shadows that will once again shade our beaches. These developments along The Esplanade must be capped now. Thanks

ANOTHER huge block of flats for Thd Esplanade, and outside the gown plan guidelines! Will this be rubber stamped like the last ones despite being too tall, over density limits, and with insufficient parking? What DO the good folk in planning do with these submissions. Do they read them, consider them and then routinely DEL them? Is this just a PR thing so that the Public Submissions box can be ticked? No wonder GCCC is so disliked.
So much for Burleigh’s seaside village feel! Council won’t be happy till it looks like ugly surfers/Broadbeach 😫
GCCC should be ashamed, breaking all the density limits on the coast!!
