I am concerned that the reason for requesting the removal of the Section 173 is for the selling and then development of the property as a hot springs resort. The only logical access road to the resort would be via Surrey Road, which has already received increased traffic due to the increased mountain bikers and, if the trail goes ahead, no doubt many will use Surrey road as an overflow road looking for parking when the Golf Course parking lot is full.
Traffic coming to a hot springs during the day and during the night in what is a quiet, residential street, would turn the street into something more like a main thoroughfare, decrease value of property and the quality of life of residents.
