Same old story - 1. existing roads cannot handle the traffic, 2 pleas to Council about traffic are ignored, 3.more development is approved, 4. Traffic gets worse, 5. pleas to Council about traffic are ignored, 6. more development is approved, etc, etc, etc.
Somebody, please address the local traffic bottlenecks, rat runs, lack of entry and exit options for the Valley area and road capacities.

This is not in keeping with the aethetics of West Pennant Hills, and will impact the overall green spaces that are available. The appeal of the area is not mid-rise residential areas with modernist architecture, but standalone houses with greenery. This will negatively impact the population in the West Pennant Hills area and put strain on resources including traffic and congestion, as well as a strained resource on public transport to the city.
This is blatantly attempting to capitalise on fast development and selling off spaces to fund buildings that are not characteristic of a suburban area.
If the plan for the developer is to assist Council with adding more residences and this population then surely an area already having high rise would be more appropriate. Coonara Ave is going to be tragically clogged with traffic both pre- existing and future if this application goes through.
I am concerned this approval will become a precedent for further development around the Coonara Ave and Castle Hill Road area. This development will completely destroy the aesthetics of the West Pennant Hills area as the majority of homes built are uniquely built with individual character. What are Mirvac proposing to build. Will it fit in within the area of WPH or will be seeing cookie cutter apartments that have become an eyesore across Sydney. What will be the quality of these buildings.
There will be increased traffic congestion and noise around the area and I would like the suburb to remain quite and peaceful.
To top it off it will certainly impact the flora and wildlife that exists across the forest area.
