This development should not be allowed. The block division is such that a block is under the prescribed 350 square meters but is still somehow passed . Burnside is losing trees at an alarming rate and cramming dwellings on small blocks is obviously contributing to the loss . It degrades the general amenity/ aesthetics of our suburb and as more and more in building occurs will lead to rising heat levels . The building of two storey dwellings so close to boundaries also impacts neighbours in an extremely negative fashion.
I am vehemently opposed to this development.

I totally concur with Dr Jeans.
The proposed development on a ridiculously small block with result in both loss of trees & amenity.
I am neighbour and also concur with Dr Jean's that the planning does not meet the 350 square metre building requirements and hence will open the doors for more similar building projects to be approved. In addition to the comments by Dr Jean's I would also like to add that the set back building regulations are also not being complied with for both the Devereux Road and or Kirkdale Street at minimum the frontage should be set back by 8 meters for a double story dwelling and two meters for neibouring boundaries. I am very concerned with the both the limited off street carparking that this proposal will have and how it will impact the current offstreet parking issues as a result and road safety issues it will pose on Kirkdale street and the overflow from Devereux Road in particular early morning and mid to late afternoon busy traffic . Any double story dwelling on a confined block of 690 sq metres will also spoil the ambience of the street which is made up of predominately single story dwellings with reasonable set backs applied on Kirkdale Street. In the current climate the double story dwelling will set an afternoon shadow over the neighbours property providing poor sunlight to any proposed solar panelling and gardens.
