As there are very few Victorian Terraces remaining in the LGA and as this house was not a listed Heritage Item, is it possible for council to make it a condition of consent to demolish and build a new home, that a photographic record be made of the Terrace prior to demolition for recording our cities history and this record be kept in the council's History Section at Rockdale Library. This condition has been applied in the past when a property has been demolished, without this type of recording we loose all reference to the past and how Rockdale developed over the years.

While I agree with what Mick had said, I also think the home would be more valuable if it was renovated as the cost to dig beneath the terrace wouldn’t be that much compared to demolition and starting from scratch. A London style iceberg house would easily have the potential to break the suburb record.
