It is crazy that the Council would even CONSIDER accepting the proprietor to keep varying the conditions of his permit, when the Council granted what he issued on 5.12.2019, given he’s broken the Planning Laws & Alcohol Consumption laws!! He shouldn’t be allowed to operate on that basis alone, let alone make any more changes, which he’s already done!
It’s already gone from a café, to a restaurant/bar & now asking to be a function centre (he told neighbours he will be hosting Bollywood Weddings). Three metres from our properties. Fantastic! 🤬
The conditions of his permit that the Council set are to protect the interests of surrounding residents. They should not be changed. Covid gives him no special rights to abuse the neighbourhood and disregard the rules.
