Having another retail fuel outlet in the area will just diminish the surrounding local businesses who have been there for years. Despite another 3 fuel outlets which have been built in the area in the past 10 years we have small locally owned bakeries and take away shops in the direct location who are already struggling, why make this harder for them with a major 'chain' drive through to hurt local stores?

Also how does this affect noise in the area from trucks refuelling and bringing in fuel, lights being on at night for all surrounding neighbours and fuel smell for all residents in the area and everyone in the community entering the shopping centre since it's so close?

I am disgusted at this planning alert. There are residents on all sides of this proposed development. As the previous comment said, what about all the small shops who have struggled through covid and continue to struggle to make a living.

This development should not proceed. Osborne Road is quite a busy road. How are the traffic to deal with petrol tankers coming in and out it not to mention the train line? There is no need for a petrol station there. The nearest one is on Victoria Road not 10 minutes drive away.

Terrible idea. Right across a small side road from a retirement village. Traffic will be increased, and the surrounding roads simply aren't equipped for that. There is a new service station less than 3 minutes down the road, and another 3 minutes will take you to 3 more. Does the peninsula need a 5th one? The newest one to be built, on busy Victoria Rd, gets nowhere near as busy as the On The Runs further down. Osborne Rd gets nowhere near the traffic of Victoria Rd. Developers should do some market research. Bad spot for a servo, and it will also have an impact on the small businesses in that vicinity.

Awesome about time north haven had its own facility With a car wash saves driving half hour to wash my car now good to see the area pushing fwd still.

Yes we need a mobil x convenience this end of the peninsula, we had an ampol many years ago at Outer Harbor and it was great until it closed down. I think this location of the new servo is wrong. It should not be built at this location. Locate the x convivence to Victoria Rd between Osborne Rd and Veitch Rd, a much better location with lots of room and no impact on residence.

I am disgusted that any one would even think about building a service station between a child care centre and a retirement village with only a small access road between the village and petrol station. We don’t need a petrol station in the middle of suburbia, would you have built a house across the road if you would have known about the plans? No one here would have either! There is another petrol station not 3 minutes away on the main Victoria Rd and that is never busy. We do not need petrol tankers down Military Rd going past a school. Where will they turn around? How are they going to get access? Children walk past to go to school and to the shop,it will certainly be more dangerous for them as well as the elderly who use the bus stop which will be in front of the service station. Will they have to walk further with their shopping for the bus? I think it is a big mistake to put it where you intend to!

As a nearby resident, it would be my choice to build the new Petrol Station in a more easy to access location. However, noting it is about to start (early in the new year, I believe), I would be interested to know what the council road management plan is, for access to and from, firstly the petrol station and secondly for local residents.

As things are now, the island down the middle of Military Rd channels all traffic only one direction (each way). I would like to see the island removed to the south, to maybe Hutley Rd, or further to allow traffic from the streets south of the development, to either drive away from the area, or access it easier, if required. As thing are now, I can just see more traffic congestion.
