I have concerns of added traffic with the school. There is a parking shortage already from families and teachers and OSHC using the car parks on Bolton ct from flagstaff hill school. There needs to be more car parks for the school as it is.
The streets are filled with cars and with staff from the childcare centre needing car parking as well as families using the centre, I am worried there could be serious accident involving children.

I agree with Matthew.
This area is busy enough with the school OSCH and bus stops especially around school drop off points.
We don’t need or want overcrowded streets with 2+ storey buildings. This used to be a leafy peaceful suburb.
As others have pointed out, this area is always busy and it is almost impossible to find a park near Bolton Court or even down Ridgway Drive at certain times. There is certainly a problem at school start and finish times with so many children walking in the area.
As well as adequate parking in the premises, maybe consideration should be given to traffic lights at the top of Ridgway Drive to enable successful right turns onto Blacks Rd to keep traffic flowing, avoid long queues and blocking the entrance to Bolton Court during busiest times.
Agreed on the car park issue, but the need for child care near schools is also important. There is a shortage of good child care in the area, and so I support this. Perhaps we could look at making the school more accessible, or increasing the size of the turn point at the kiss and drop for the school to allow more than 1 car to turn every couple of minutes. As it is, most cars have to do a 3 point turn at the end, which I believe is causing more congestion than the issue of cars not moving down when dropping off kids.

The increase in traffic is the main concern due to the impossible right hand turn on to Black road and now compounded by the wombat crossing, this will drive the motorists to use Memford Way in. Memford Way is already busy with traffic from the shops and the golf club.
