Overall the development is relatively sympathetic but I do not support the alteration of the windows in the original part of the building.
The applicant wants to change the original wood framed six-over-one sash windows with the like of simplified four pane aluminium framed windows, which would be unsympathetic to the character of the building and therefore should not be supported. I can understand that they may need replacement given they have rotten out but identical reproduction windows should be the only ones allowed.
Otherwise I fully support the proposal to restore and extend this derelict, but never the less charming and elegant heritage home.
