This development appears to be very unfair to the neighbours in both privacy and shadowing. Especially the neighbour to the southern side. Where are the shadow diagrams?

I fail to understand the reasoning behind the demolition of a Victorian cottage in a Heritage conservation area to allow the construction of a modern unit block approved under the pretense of 'a mix of four luxury & affordable' apartments. The developer is now seeking approval for increased height limits to the upper floor level, approved originally as "the supposed affordable housing component, yet on the penthouse level' ?
This proposed height extension negatively effects it's abutment to the existing Victorian terrace next door, light, air quality & privacy, not to mention what's left of the heritage street overlay of Dutruc Street, one on Randwick's premium heritage streets.
Viewing these latest amendments to the DA - construction / excavation times should not be increased as the houses and apartments neighbouring this development are too close in proximity. Vibration & noise. People working from home, kids remote learning & people with small children will be effective
How the council approved such a huge development is sad esp being a heritage conservation area.
