If two street trees must be removed to reposition driveway, Council should ensure these are replaced with 2 similar trees where old driveway used to be positioned.

In dealing with ratepayers, Council now requires a two or three to one replacement of trees removed.

If two (public) street trees are removed to reposition a (private) driveway, the applicant should pay for the planting and initial maintenance of two similar trees where the existing driveway is.
