I am overwhelmed at the volume of over building in my neighbourhood, greedy developers, poor design and over builds on sites, I despair, shops empty. Amenity of area apart from food/cafe diminishing. I believe in live local shop local. Not just for entertainment.
There has been CONSTANT construction noise and disruption in this small pocket of Fitzroy for well over 5 years and counting...
NO consideration to current neighbouring residence or amenity.
All natural light in my home has gone, no consideration, consultation to the impact of local residence, poor bulky design, oversized and noisey car stackers.
Why this strip of warehouses on Napier st was not re developed in one built is beyond me. The NOISE issues and mental health impacts should be addressed prior to approval of another build in this pocket of Fitzroy.
I do not support the scope or size of this application. I live in a two story property on the west side of George Street between Moore and St David streets. I am very concerned about the noise that will travel from the upstairs entertainment facilities in the proposal. It will directly affect the amenity of the back of my property, including my garden, back deck and pariticularly my upstairs bedroom. A significant amount of noise already comes in from the Napier and this is only at ground level.
I am also very concerned at the lack of parking - this seems like a very poor planning decision given the already crowded parking in surrounding streets (including in George Street)
Please do not go ahead with the upstairs restaurant/bar and please ensure parking is included.
