Why is this intended? This is rare example of some canopy vegetation in these narrow streets. Surely there should be more examples of this in Cubitt/Dover/Gwynne Streets, not less

I object to the removal of the street trees.
Removing the trees will increase the visual bulk and domination of the surrounding existing and planned structures and works.
Removing the trees will fail to respond positively to the surrounding context.
Removing the trees will increase heat in the local microclimate.
In total agreement. Those last 2 trees in The street ‼️
🎶dig up all the trees and put ‘em in a tree museum , (big yellow taxi . Joni Mitchell)
Then charge all the people’s a Buck and a half just to see ‘em 🎶🎶
It’s a travesty ‼️
Ant, Shauna and Gary, It looks like objections needed to be submitted a while ago, as the permit has been granted.
A group of local residents could get together and be prepared for the next proposed tree removal of concern.
Prepare a document for interested people with the main points on it - How to lodge an objection and list the relevant criteria that would need to be addressed.
They could be taken from Planning Laws and from developer's applications.
If you don't know a town planner or a town planning student, study any developer's PPA that discusses tree removal.
Have a look at the headings and sub headings used.
Have a look at the argument used.
I agree whole heartedly with Shauna-Marie
Wilson
these tress should be saved in a tightly built up area and agree on all points made by Ms Wilson.
You should also refer to Council's Street Tree Policy. Objective 1 is to have a nett increase in the number of street trees. https://www.yarracity.vic.gov.au/services/cleaning-and-maintenance/trees
