Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a homeowner at [Address Removed], and I have serious concerns about this development at 154-156 Wood st Preston. Not only is it not in keeping with the local streetscape and would significantly alter the appeal of the surrounding area (hence affecting home values), but it would put significant pressure on parking in the area which is currently at a premium. You will notice a number of beautiful old homes lining the streets of Wood st in Preston, but no multiplex/multi-story townhouses. I’m afraid that this development puts profit ahead of the heritage and liveability of the local area and is not in keeping with the style of the street. Moreover, it is already difficult for ourselves and visitors to to find a car park. Adding 6 new dwellings with only limited visitor parking will make it difficult for us and our visitors to park in walking distance of our own home. This will detract significantly from the liveability and add to the noise in the local street. I ask you what your vision for Preston is? Will it be known as a chaotic suburbia or a pleasant family suburb for people to live for many years to come. As a public health clinician, I would like you to consider the noise pollution and traffic that this development will add to the local area. As a local Preston resident, I urge you to put the wellbeing of your citizens ahead of profit in this instance, and reject this application.

Yours sincerely,
