Hi - this development does raise some concern regarding a few factors: (1) traffic - the area is already quite congested and adding major construction will only add to the problem. Once completed that is a minimum 57 more cars in high density area. And (2) public transport - the new residents are likely to be users of the light rail which is close to full capacity as it is. (3) excess apartment stock - the area has a large number of apartments in the area and adding to this will add to the impact of destroying the village vibe of a wonderful suburb

I wholeheartedly support this development as we are in desperate need of rental housing in this area. Not everyone who is raising a family here and has strong connections to the area can afford to buy. The more housing options, the more pressure on the bubble to burst
I am concerned about the effect on the GreenWay. This area is important habitat area for small birds. The noise and light fill from the area will be detrimental. The path to the Light rail removes habitat which is not being replaced. The Fred St buscare site is already established and needs only maintenance.
There is insufficient greenspace in the area. The recent Inner West Council "Recreation Needs Study" found a benchmark of provision was set as 13.3m2 of open space per person Lewisham currently 3.8m2 of open space. The pocket parks at the Light rail station are already over used.
Traffic in the area is already at a stand still during peak hour.
I am concerned about loss of solar access and privacy for surrounding units
