The Kogarah War Memorial Pool should not be demolished until until further studies are done to determine the site of the third aquatic is in place. The key question that the DA does not answer is that if the men’s shed , change rooms, and toilet facilities located on the contaminated site can be made safe in one month, why then do the existing pool site buildings need to be demolished at all. Council have said they’ve had 50 break ins in the past 12 months. I find this hard to believe and I would like to view the surveillance footage of these break in. The site has its own fencing plus cyclone fence.
This DA should not be approved.
