This does not align with the look of the area. Already too many units on this road. Nontoxic enough width for 6 private car spaces for this size block and I’m sure they will want to get rid of the tree on the footpath to improve views.

I would like to update my previous submission as the plans are now available on the CCC webiste. Please do reject this current DA for the following reasons
- This proposal does not meet green space or communal area requirements.
- Building height from ground level is 11m and proposal is 3 stories. This does not align with the look of the street and adjacent properties / cottages would have overshadowing in the afternoon.
- Parking would not accommodate the number of proposed units based on an average household.
- No visitor parking.
- Setbacks on more than one side do no meet current requirements along with floor space ratio.
I am not against redevelopment on this block, however 6 units, the sheer size of the building in comparison to houses and unit complexes on BW road and lack of communal / green space does not fit with the area.
In my opinion six units, 11m high with 3 storeys is not suitable for this area and should not be allowed. Three units 2 storeys high is much more acceptable. I totally disagree with six units. And I strongly object. How would they fit on the block? And they would look in to both neighbours’ backyards. They would spoil the street appearance.
The DA is particularly unsustainable as the height and floor space ratios are much higher than the surrounding low-density residential area. 929.5 Sqm of land may be sufficient for a duplex, definitely not for six units. The adjoining property #77 is only 285 sqm and the proposed six units will be overshadowing the little cottage. Not to mention the loss of privacy for neighbours on the street. Parking is particularly heavy on Brick Wharf Road and the DA shows parking deficiencies for the development.
The community doesn’t want 3 storeys along Brickwharf Road. This road is the premier walking/exercise area for Woy Woy residents along the waterfront. It includes the sacred Cenotaph area which holds a
Special place in the heart of Woy Woy residents. Buildings of 3 stories will affect our amenity substantially by increasing residential densities and more traffic If you allow 3 stories here it will set a precedent for the whole street which would be a tragedy.
This building is another building that will spoil again. Another pretty part of Woy Woy. Plus the homes around will be spoilt from their views as well.
As a local resident in Woy Woy for the past 38 years and a home owner close to the vicinity of this proposed development, I strongly disagree with a developer being approved to build a 3 storey high unit block in a residential street . It is not in keeping with the ascetics of the landscape and surrounding structures , it will invade the adjoining properties privacy within their yards , block sun and daylight to their homes and outdoor spaces ,cause more residents to over crowd a residential block with added vehicle congestion, overload sewage infrastructure and water supply also add to the already insufficient street parking space especially at peak times . Such development of buildings of this size will destroy the appeal and nature of the peninsula and only devalue adjoining property values . Do not ruin what people are drawn to Woy Woy for , it’s quaintness, residential appearance and feel , we do not want developers to line their pockets at the expense of the long term residents , The rate paying residents of the peninsula deserve to have input into such developments and will vote accordingly at the poles .Please keep residential zoning developments as a 2 storey maximum like it’s always been. We do not want over crowding or the ascetics of the area to be lost . Do not turn the central coast into an over crowded , concrete Sydney suburb .
As a local resident lives near this block on the same road, we strongly object this development plan for the reasons below:
1) This proposed 11 meter high construction totally makes shadowy to the adjacent one story house, where lives a non-English speaking old couple, who's spending their great deal of retirement time in their front garden and back garden growing vegetables. The 11 meter high development next to them will block all the afternoon sun and have a great impact on them.
2) Brick Wharf Road is not only a residential area but also has picturesque waterfront scenery, where is the major recreational walking area for locals as well as tourists to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful environment. Therefore, the high building not only impacts its neighbor residents, but also influences the people walking pass by, both from the front of the block or from the back of the block (where the football field and carpark is),the skyline will become abrupted because of this tall building. The proposed 3 storeys building is uncoordinated on Brick Wharf Road existing building style, and it creates city hectic apartment feeling in iconic Woy Woy waterfront. It is an unprecedented plan, and if it becomes an approved plan then it will become a bad reference point for all other future developments on Brick Wharf Road.
My Family recently moved from this wonderful house. It is very old and I lost count of the number of people who in my 7 years there, would stop in my yard and say oh gee this house brings back memories or I lived here when I was a child or for some as an adult. My Family enjoyed this home to the fullest .The beautiful view made sure we conducted every possible social activity and life in general in our front yard! It will be very sad to see it go and even sadder to see a big monstrosity where it once stood. It’s so true they really do pave paradise to put up a parking lot .
