I really hope the rule for Resident Parking Permits in the Stonnington web site (copied below) will be applied as the first dwelling is being built with a crossover taking two on-street parking spaces and the second dwelling being built with no car parking spaces. If these two dwellings are also provided with the parking permits, they will also be entitled to up to 6 parking permits to use on the street. Parking in Clara St and around is already extremely tight for the residents and their visitors.

"On 19 March 2007, Council resolved that:
A property is ineligible for a resident parking permit when:
construction of the property started on or after 19 March 2007, and
the number of dwellings as a result of the development was increased by more than one.
This restriction was introduced to encourage developers to provide sufficient onsite parking to cater for the parking demands of the development, to reduce demand on on-street parking."
