    That’s disgusting... shame in the Council for disregarding people & wildlife in this way.

    We have alot of beautiful wildlife here that are either going to die or have no home because you are greedy for land and money.
    I moved to this area for the greenery and now it hardly any left.
    Some people and families don't want to live in a contrete jungle.
    You day U are for the people of Ispwich we'll start listening to them.
    WE DONT WANT THIS

    Two lots turning into 195 housing lots with 57 house blocks under 450 m2. These kinds of housing developments are not sustainable. The residents of Bellbird Park enjoy nature on their door step. Developments like this erode this aspect. This is unacceptable & should not be allowed to go ahead.

    The population of our suburb has reportedly tripled in the last 5 years. While this might be seen as inevitable progress this explosion has significant impact on residents amd any remaining wildlife. We can wait for more than 10 minutes to be able to exit ournn by property due to increased traffic, there is no local public transport, and these ‘smaller’ developments mean no provision for parks and poor planning for entry into main roads. Please please please please stop this mindless upheaval to our environment- please. We feel so helpless there is no one who listens no one who says”enough”. Where are our elected representatives- who can we go to to stop this.

    Probably need to re think this one. The road infrastructure isn't coping with the excess traffic. Jones rd needs a major overhaul before evening thinking about more housing. Every time we get rain Jones rd floods. These things need to be addressed and resolved prior to building more houses.

    Obviously you want the money so won't listen but for those of us that live here we pay the ultimate price...

    To create such a grand scale plan as this takes infrastructure. As it is, there is not enough for what we have so far! Jones Road needs to be widened and properly lit from the Goodna end all the way to Augusta Parkway.
    With this proposal of new growth, you are looking at multiple extra construction vehicles on the already dilapidated road system in this area. I'm not for or against this development, but town planning and council need to fix the real issues before any more land developments go ahead.

    The impacts to sizable increases in housing are affecting Jones rd. Traffic at school time is making it impossible to get HOME. The roads can not cope with the housing as it is without adding another 200 people to the small area (not even considering the remaining current development). Please think of the current residents and the pockets of high density housing and impacts to roads and traffic.

    You all have too take a stand here if you want this too be moderated, the lot next to us has recently sold , for way over market value for development , we made an offer to maintain the wildlife corridor , but the buyer paid much more than it was worth , destroy all the trees and wildlife and jam in in small lots .
    I moved here over 20 years ago for the space and wildlife .

    Benefits-
    1. Money for a developer sqeezing in as many blocks as they can.
    Disbenefits-
    1. Further strains existing road and rail infrastructure, schools and hospitals that do not seem to be considered.
    2. Destruction of decades old native trees and animal habitat, are these offset with more flora within the developed area.
    3. Concentrating hydraulics as there is no where for the water to soak into the ground, what hydraulic assessments have been done?
    4. 2. And 3. Contribute to hot spots.
    5. Additional strain on fixed internet and electricity infrastructure and sewerage systems.
    6. Fire is more likely to spread to more houses as there is little protection between residences.
    7. Was an environmental impact assessment completed to check for fauna.
    8. This is not sustainable progress.
    9. Does council understand what the exact limits of the local infrastructure are and when these developments trigger the need for upgrades, or has this trigger already been reached?

    2 blocks into 197 is crazy and denigrates the local community through lack of roading and infrastructure investment. Jones Road is barely 2 lanes wide in several parts and downright dangerous. Also complete lack of consideration of green space and existing nature and wildlife. Council need to consider the voice of those who live in these areas, not the back pocket of developers who hire snazzy writers to make applications palatable to get it across the line.

    This development should NOT be approved. It is an example of absolute greed that will turn this area into a ghetto in 10 years. We must preserve our green space and protect our wildlife.

    Don't waste your time the council don't have to take any objections past the "Code Assessable stage."

    It has already been approved, Many years ago. All the developers have to do is notify the community by posting a sign. No really a short time before the dozers move in. Have you been watching the destruction of 228 Jones Rd?

    It's a pity that you are objecting pointing at what ever you think is important and to not being heard or be taking seriously.. Please go to this exact spot and witness the devastation in this small area. The council should hang their collective heads in shame. All your good ideas count for naught. Its just council going through the motions with the appearance of consulting the community. Almost all these planning notifications are already at "Code Assessable" stage with no further input needed. Please instead of writing long well considered objections., check the planning process and save yourselves a lot of time.

    David Harris is right. Our State Govt allows the granting of Code Assessment Rating even when the land in question has obvious environmental and social qualities. Of course a rates hungry council will not oppose the development approvals and working part-time, Councillors probably give little thought to residents concerns. Council Planners overlook the council guidelines on traffic, wildlife habitat, car parking, parkland, cycle tracks because it is easier to let developers do their thinking for them. The residents who bought into Bellbird Park for the once attractive amenity are the overall losers.

    The first thing the developer needs to do is to get an animal spotter or thre euphemism Ecologist to inspect the site and then the tree classifier . Apparently there are 2 such people somewhere in the Ipswich region ' I've checked what they include in their menu. Birds aren't even counted. Neither are any marsupials. The assessing of flora is a farce. Never seen or heard of An animal spotter.
