To whom it may Concern - 6th May 2021
I'd like to make an objection to the above Development Application - reference DA21/0357. I live next door to the proposed development site in the small 18 villa / townhouse complex on Port Hacking Road Miranda. Myself and the other residents in our complex are already struggling to find parking spaces both within our complex and on Port Hacking Road out the front. The new development of townhouses and villas has only allowed for 1 car space per dwelling. This of course will not be sufficient as the average home owns more than 1 car, and the section of Port Hacking Rd directly out the front of the proposed development and further back to half way out the front of our complex is 'NO STANDING'. This is already a problem for residents. I, myself often end up parking across the street and walk across the busy Port Hacking Rd, regularly in the dark.
Another issue is the location of this Development to the owners' homes that it would back onto. The 3 storey townhouses that directly back onto 6 homes in our complex, will severely affect the privacy and amount of daily sunlight for all these residents. The flow on effect of this is at the very least, less clothes drying sun exposure and less heating ability in the home - resulting in higher electricity bills.
Another issue is drainage, sewerage and flooding. In recent times there have been multiple issues regarding overflowing drainage and sewerage which has required maintenance and expert consultants to attend the site. Also a development on this site has previously been rejected, as the site in question is in a flood zone and prone to flooding.
On further enquiry, it has come to my attention that the inclusion of a percentage of 'affordable dwellings' may be for the sole purpose to offset other downfalls. I'm not saying that it is the case in this instance however it is a concern.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would give my concerns due consideration.
Thanking you, Sally Cowan

I live in the complex of villas and townhouses alongside this proposed development.
This proposed development DA21/0357 will run along my fence line. Which will intrude markedly on light access, my/our privacy, noise concerns, security, the list goes on. Also ground stability of this development given its closeness to us and the excavation involved.
I object to this huge intrusion on my/our quality of life.
The area here in Miranda is already overdevelopment at the expense of residents here in this part of Miranda.
And the degree of environmental destruction (putting it mildly) is appaulling.
