I am the co-owner of 14 - 14A Little Albion Street Surry Hills. Firstly. I am concerned that I have had no notification of this modification, yet the rear of the property is directly in front of my property. 14 - 14A are rented properties and already I have had my tenants complain about the noise emanating from this establishment. I am totally opposed to the application. There is no justification in having a business in a residential area creating a noise disturbance, let alone until midnight, 7 days a week - Including music playing on the terrace. In addition, I would like a condition on any future consent to have a clause that states that there will be no rear access for patrons to exit directly into Little Albion Street to minimise the disturbance (including noise, drunkenness and the inconsideration of patrons) to residence. Again, residence must have rights and no justification can be given that a business be given preference. Also, I believe there is a request for an external exhaust. Again, the smell would be to the detriment of residents and their rights to live in a clean environment.
