What a shame that the so called competitive design report picked a boring and familiar design. There was a stand out design from DKO presenting a green wall to the Botany Rd frontage with archways reflecting heritage elements in the neighbouring school. Sure it may have had details to be ironed out but it was original and eye catching. So yet again we will end up with a building that looks like all the other buildings going up around Sydney. Can't we do better?

How many more apartment building we want to see in the area? They are at lease 10 apartment buildings I can count from the corner of McEnvoy-Botany to corner of Mandible-Botany. Not counting those buildings around Green Square station down the road. Clearly we are now over supply in Sydney?
Until Clover leaves you will continue to see her Mates apartments being built
Allister this has nothing to do with Clover. Changes to planning regulations in 2018 saw the role of council in having a say over development removed by the Baird government. Planning decisions are now made entirely by the Local Area Planning Department whose members are nominated by the planning minister. In the case of larger developments, the minister can override their decision. It is the state government driving such developments, not council.
