Could the local council not realise the impact North Kellyville, Box hill etc have caused to Windsor road and old Windsor roads?!
These roads are not only heavily congested during peak hour mon-fri, but sat and sun are now a problem. The area needs better planning than simply allowing developments (making the issue worse) whilst having the mindset of; infrastructure, hospitals and schools being another government department’s problem.

This application is close to my home and I hope the Council is going to ensure that the Fibro Cottage is demolished safely and that the "Tree Preservation Order" will be observed.
We request that the Council requires a Bus Bay to be constructed with this development. The Barry Road boundary is a busy 'set down' bus stop. This stop is close to the busy junction of Stringer Road and to ensure safety for pedestrians and drivers a bus bay is imperative.
We request that with this subdivision, no block of land for sale be under 550 sq m. to allow for open space between dwellings to provide space for tree planting and give the neighbourhood a softer and more aesthetic appearance and provide a cooling effect to the atmosphere. We also request that all properties have adequate side setbacks to allow for clear access to the rear of the property and provide some sound buffer between residences. Most importantly we definitely DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANY PROPERTIES ZONED FOR DUAL OCCUPANCY!
In the last couple of weeks we have seen two development applications advertised for this area. These are the last developments for this stretch of Barry Road. It seems to me that this is the most appropriate time for the Council to construct the playing fields opposite this development and the playground at the rear of this development in Garrawilla & Yanga Rds. Developers have paid in to the development of recreational areas and so it is time we see a return on their payments and our years of paying rates for little services and give our children somewhere to kick a ball!
Regarding this subdivision, My understanding is that is would be the first stage out of 2 or 3? With a total of 34 town houses.
I feel there are already enough of this type of townhouse or setup in our small area of the community of Barry/Hillview/Stringer. Specially across the road there will be 110 townhouse getting build by the same developer. And yet Barry road does not have any fundings or extra funding for and extra road treatments, no allowance on road resurface work, road widening, Barry Road is still only have 1 entrance and exit. Further funding require to be out in place for Barry Road before too may residents moved into the area.
If Council or LPP are going to approve these type of townhouse there should be an requirement as minimum setup up with double car garage per property and set reserve parking bay for visitors on site away from the street. As we will have further issue with residents or visitors parking their extra vehicles on Barry road.
No parking should be setup from 100 Barry Road to 3 Hillview Road.
This site is very close to the new Stringer Road Reserve, and I feel this needs to be look into for traffic management and also traffic flow for the area. And council should look at starting the work on the Barry/ Stringer roundabout ASAP.
Please look into extra roundabout or speed reduction treatment for Barry Road. And please start allocating fundings to cover any road treatments require for Barry road.
We also need the Annangrove bridge to be open ASAP.
Thank you for your time.
A question that needs to be asked is; what will/ can be done with Windsor road, (southbound) from Old Windsor road/Kellyville Pets , all the way up to Showground road? It’s seriously congested as it is, in the mornings.
The afternoons the other side. Then the poor commuters, seeing them trying to get on Windsor road...single file from Fairway Drive, Kellyville.
Then there’s Victoria Ave nightmare...
It’s upsetting to think about it.
