This planning proposal is not in keeping with the local area that is full of family homes, near a school and not what Terrigal is about. Boarding houses can attract non desirable people in a family and school setting

This planning development is located within a residential area that has minimal parking already. It would put pressure on a pre-existing business across the road and potentially reduce revenue by putting clientele off due to the lack of parking.
The demographic attracted to boarding houses are not appropriate for the area- this development is across the street from a playing field and a school (with high foot traffic of vulnerable kids).
This development does not comply in terms of parking: resident ratio nor with floor space ratio.
Another boarding house has been approved just down the road. The proximity is too close for another establishment of the same type.
I disagree with this application. There is NO need for a second boarding house within 200 mtrs of an existing one. The demographic attracted to boarding houses are NOT appropriate for this area of single family homes where parking is already at a premium and traffic is heavy. Two schools are located across the road with high foot traffic by young children and additional foot traffic by residents of this proposed development will cause excessive problems.
I totally disagree with this application.
There is already a boarding house within 200metres. There is insufficient parking in an already busy traffic area. There are two schools, an ambulance station, a busy playing field and recreation area in close proximity. I cannot think of a more unsuitable place to situate another boarding house. This is a family neighbourhood which is why most of us chose to buy in this area. A boarding house was the last thing we could have imagined.
