Is this including the 10 residential lots already planned at this site?

As I mentioned in the other:

The roads and infrastructure needs to be reviewed and taken into consideration prior to approving these developments. The area is already overdeveloped and roads are struggling.

Windsor road and old Windsor road are not coping as it is during peak hours and lunchtimes on weekends.

The area needs more employment land and development, such as commercial... not the overabundance of residential, residential and more HIGH RESIDENTIAL

Can't agree more James. This council is not interested in its people living in the area. It's all about a money grab. No parkland or aging fields , just more concrete.

Totally agree with James and Glenn, Hills Shire Council is not interested in its people living in the area. We have moved to this area few years ago and we hardly noticed any improvements regarding roads and infrastructure but what we did noticed is huge number of HIGH RISERS. Our local roads are not coping with the number of cars and there is a lots of HIGH RISES planed for this area. My plea to to Hills Shire Council is to stop approving HIGH RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS in this already overdeveloped area.

Glenn, it’s almost hard to believe that the two closest government hospitals to the area; one built in 1978’ /43years ago (Westmead) & the other 1965’ / 56 years ago (Blacktown).

You can only imagine how much the population/ residential housing would’ve differed back then to what it is now... and so far, this is all we get from the government for now.

We will be affected by this subdivision. This subdivision is planned opposite White Gum Place. Before this development goes ahead the Council should ensure four things are done for the safety and enjoyment of local residents.
    1. A roundabout be made at the intersection of White Gum Place
    2. The NBN telecommunication box at the intersection be moved to provide better vision for residents entering Barry Road from White Gum Place.
    3. The bus stop should be located clear from any streets and should be developed with a dedicated bus bay with shelter shed. This is a popular bus stop and has no protection from the elements and after rain results in a muddy entry onto the bus.
    4. The development of the playing fields should be commenced NOW to limit the amount of noise and dust for local residents and to provide some recreational area for the local residents which is so lacking! A swimming pool and community hall should also be considered by Council. (The area set aside for playing fields next to this development is ideal setting for a swimming pool similar to that in the bush setting at Cherrybrook)
As one of the early residents of North Kellyville we have been so disappointed the level of support Council has given to the area. We know several familes who have been so disappointed at the lack of public spaces and recreational areas for their children that they have sold and moved elsewhere.
We have heard that Council now expects residents by "good will" maintain the drainage swales. With 60% of the houses rented does the Council really think renters or investors are going to maintain the swales?
Land sizes in the area are shrinking and footprint of the dwellings are increading. Land sizes should be increasing to allow for more water absorption on properties and limiting the amount of runoff into our two Creeks.
Houses are getting bigger and closer to their neighbours with increasing numbers of swimming pools and home theaters the side and rear boundaries should be increased to provide a "QUIETER COMMUNITY".
Opportunities to provide better vegetation and tree planting and preservation is essential with environmental and climate change challenges ahead.

Well said, I fully support your comments. We have lived in this area off White Gum for nearly 7 years and all we have seen is more and more development going ahead with no improvement to roads or recreation, the council must have plenty of money in reserve considering the amount of rates they are now collecting. We moved from Bella Vista because of the traffic and congestion only to find this area is heading the same way.

I feel we need to slow down on further development in the community for now. Yes it is two folded for the reason being is if you don’t approve council will not receive the DCP for the area. And also if the development not approved then there would not be kerb and gutter and tooth path for that area.

But then I would ask council to look at the following:

    1) Barry road does not have any DCP funding for any work to be done for the community. Other then 1 x roundabout at Stringer x Barry x Hillview Road where it will only be for the stringer road complete.

    2) only 1 set of traffic lights available, further land release in stringer and Hillview road will add another 500+ residents into the community. Council need to look at providing Barry road upgrade under the DCP or council reserve to help with the community.

    3) Wither road will be a long another 12-24 months to be fully completed, with the current setup or even in the future setup I feel that by adding extra pressure into the road network now it will be so much harder when Wither road is close for road work, and so as Barry road by pass.

    4) safety for residents on and down from Barry road.
Residents only have 1 way in and out of the area. In order this plan to be approve we need to enable the 2nd entrance and exits for residents in this area, if there is a bush fire or major car accident we will not able to get out.

    5) we also have currently another DA that was approved by the NSW Planning Panel for 110 townhouse to be build on 1 Hillview Road. If we work off every family has 3 people then we will be having 330 new residents in the community and most house will have 2 vehicles Barry road does not enable to have all these overflow cars into all other road network in our community as of yet due to works are still happening on Hezlett,

I would highly recommend THSC to revisit our current North Kellyville Master Plan if possible, I feel from what was and had been drawn up 10 years ago, our community has change a lot; and with the current capital work program, I feel this really need to be invest more money into to push these capital work out faster, quicker, and safer for our community.
