That'll be 17 trees so far this week. This is nothing short of environmental vandalism and deliberate mismanagement by Planning Authority. Large canopy trees need to remain. It is totally absurd to remove large canopy trees which provide valuable habitat for native wildlife and shelter from the heat. So far we have
73-75 Wonga Road, Ringwood North VIC 3134 --- 5 trees
7 Towerhill Drive, Ringwood VIC 3134 --- 3 trees
14 Major Street, Ringwood VIC 3134 --- 4 trees and
34 Alto Avenue, Croydon VIC 3136 --- 5 trees
This Council's lack of appreciation and consideration for precious natural resources is nothing short of objectionable.
My objection on the removal of any of these trees stands and will not be removed.
Still no details provided as to why they need to be removed or what type of trees. When are you people going to stop this madness!?

More trees to be removed? What are we doing? Canopy trees are so important. The birds have been so busy this year - they need their place - have you heard them calling? Perhaps asking where are the trees? We know that trees also provide urban cooling.
Why do all of these trees need to removed? What are we doing to replace - oh and they take time to grow as well. Are we planning for a climate change future?
No. No more removal of mature trees. There is absolutely no justification for this continued environmental vandalism. 17 trees in one week is absurd.

Excessive canopy has been lost in my immediate vicinity with almost an entire ridge line of beautiful mature trees gone in the last 12 months. It must stop. If nothing else we need these trees as carbon sinks.
