This is an incredibly dangerous corner - speeding vehicles, trucks, pedestrians crossing the road day and night.
The new owners and applicants and their architect have proven to have no regard for the peace of others, and for additional reasons, this development application demands an ethical investigation by Canada Bay Council staff, to ensure no element of the development submission is overlooked.
Canada Bay Council ignores the issue of speeding vehicles which include trucks, and it is up to sensible residents to keep an eye on this one.

I totally agree, this corner is significant traffic hazard for pedestrians and public usage. Vehicles travel at significant speed on the downhill western approach and likewise on the north-eastern approach gathering momentum into the corner and is a traffic rat-run for motorists. Engineered traffic calming devices are required to allow pedestrians to cross the road with safety, especially as it is adjacent Taplin Park where sporting (ball games) and dog exercising is present, which has no perimeter safety fencing. IA 2.2 metre high fence has been erected around Drummoyne Oval to keep the paying ratepayer out but little regard is given to the recreational users of Taplin park and the surrounding community by Canada Bay Council. This section of roadway is a major safety risk and should be properly addressed to reduce potential accidental injury.
