There has already been an application for a huge duplex here and no one apart from the developer had approved it. Bardwell Park has very few duplexes at this point in time and I believe it is in the best interest of all residents that it is kept this way. So many neighbouring suburbs such as Bexley North, Kingsgrove and Earlwood are losing their character to duplexes which crowd the streets with even more cars and people. They all start to look the same and soon the suburb loses all of its character.

    Noah,

You live in a different suburb and streets away from this development. Why and how does this impact you? You seem to take a very keen interest in all developments at bayside council, so maybe rather than commenting on all of them, perhaps you should consider taking up a role within council and have your opinion validated via legislation and the LEP controls.

The state controls now allow CDC of dual-occupancy developments within the Planning guidelines, statewide. That means that council, and the likes of yourself will no longer be required to review these developments, and pass your personal judgements.

Ofcourse if you were effected by any of the developments you commented on, that would be understandable. But the fact that you are not effected in anyway makes your comments irrelevant to the cause.

This comment you made was for a CC for an already approved development.

If we kept comments here to facts and regulations, rather than personal feelings, then perhaps council can have the time to deal with matters that are important, rather than waste time on baseless comments which consume their working hours for no actual gain.

Lambert Road is one of the most overdeveloped streets in Bardwell Park vicinity for whatever reason. With narrow streets and large duplexes that continue to pop up in the area, it is already a difficult spot for neighboring houses.

Soon there would be not enough space to fit even more large structures in the street, or it would over develop itself.

It's a shame that these ugly, bland & tasteless lego-like structure duplexes are allowed to be built in such difficult areas.

Certainly surrounding residents deserve better than these eyesores.
