I am concerned about the proximity of the proposed development to the fence line of 29 Grand View Drive. My concern is for how the excavation work to create the site for the concrete slab will affect the stability of the land of our property which includes the boundary fencing and the house sited at 29 Grand View Drive. I note on this page it states “Development Permit for Dwelling House(Landslide Hazard)“. Obviously my focus is on the term “Landslide Hazard”. I would think there is enough land on the proposed site to have the slab further from the boundary line and reduce the risk for our property in the short and long term. To have the dwelling further from the boundary line would also be more in keeping with the spacing of properties in this rural area.
Secondly, given the position of this site(end of cul-de-sac), I hope due consideration is given for adequate on site parking for residents and possible guests(5 bed property). There is little to no curb side parking outside the property without the prospect of limiting the turning circle. Thus, I would consider adequate on site parking essential to prevent curb side parking outside other properties along the road.
