This is outrageous. When Luna Park was given approval and was a public park, originally. This area was not included. Then they were given the right to lease this land for a microscopic rent but on the condition it was for temporary structures only. It now features a semi permanent tent, and now they wish to put rides there.

These guys are sequestering government land by stealth for they own benefit.

This land should be returned to the public and become part of the proposed Highline

Envelope Plans.pdf and Heritage Impact Assessment.pdf are not currently available at http://www.majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl?action=view_job&job_id=10196

And the project is not listed at
    https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/major-projects/projects/on-exhibition

The exhibition period should remain open until 28 days from when the documents become publicly available.

This application must fail. It is not in the public interest. It continues the steady creep of Luna Park northwards, level with residential areas and into what should remain green recreation space. The proposal is contrary to what was envisaged for "Lavender Green" at the outset.

This is a park that is starved for space and has had use of this space for over 16 years. The amenity of the space will not change. This is just an extension of the current use of the space as it stands now. It is already bound by tight controls on what can appear on this space. The objectors are uptight residents who cannot abide living next door to a 85 year old historic amusement park and icon of Sydney. The park has faced enough hurdles over the years in its fight to survive and coexist with its nearby neigbours. This should go ahead to continue to have a viable and strong Luna Park for future generations to enjoy
