If these trees are unsafe and need to be removed, they will need replacing to maintain the shade and other climatic benefits to that part of the street.

I support the view that any removal must be accompanied by replacement for reasons of maintaining mitigation of increasingly hostile climate effects.

These conifers form an important interface between the flats and the street. The loss of so many trees at once would severely impact the area.
As a consequence a fully qualified arborist must first be engaged to evaluate the statement "believed to be in danger of collapse".
In the event this is confirmed replacement trees must be planted within a set time frame.
