To whom it may concern
Bellevue Ave Gaythorne is another narrow two way Brisbane road with entry and exit issues (via Pickering Street). As mentioned in other submissions, and similar to most, if not all, multi dwelling developments: the number of planned off street car parks is grossly inadequate and will lead, as with most other multi dwelling developments, to excessive on street (and foot path) parking making it dangerous for all road and footpath users: drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. The ratepayers of Brisbane should not have to pay to rectify the issues (if possible) after the fact: they should be addressed by the owner/developer (ie the party/ies profiting from the project) before they go ahead. More intensive living is necessary however it has to be planned for the benefit of all parties: the occupants, neighbours, visitors to the area and infrastructure providers.
We need urgent attention to this matter as a lot of our suburban roads are becoming hazardous obstacle courses.

I agree totally. I’m all for progress but unit developers need to be made to put in more off-road parking spaces. I live in Everton Park where there is a big rise on these buildings. One unit in my development has four cars. So they need to park 3 on the street and there is a new unit development about to go up next door. Plus the townhouse development 2 doors up park cars in front of the new development. So there will be no room for them.
