- This proposal is for roof repairs and maintance works for the Abbey and are crucial to the conservation of this heritage building. Proposed works included replacement of degraded terracotta tole and copper roofing (current roofing materials are over 130 years old and have reached the end of their life); reapirs to stone parapets and reinstatement of decorative finials; and additional repairs to copper down pipes, tower lead light windows and timber joinery. Methodologies of repair, materials and workmanship will match original techniques, finishes and detailing.
