The proposal involves the reconfiguration of the ground floor level of a commercial building. The reconfigured area will contain a new wellness centre and an event production space including an auditorium with 191 seats. The applicant states that the uses of these areas will be ancillary to the operation of the current tenant (Google) and that they will not be made available for the public. Proposed hours of operation do not expand upon the existing hours, which are between 7.00am and 7.00pm, Monday to Friday. The wellness centre will provide various medical treatments to staff, including a GP, physiotherapy, dental services, a dietician, a mental health/awareness room and a lab/treatment room. Proposed works in addition to those described above include relocating a reception area from level 2 to the ground level entry lobby, alterations to an existing gym to provide lockers and change rooms, new fire exits, alterations to existing recording studio and the expansion of an existing kitchen with minor modifications in support of the event production space.
