"Construction of two double storey dwellings and associated vegetation removal."

What does this mean. Clear felling the whole site? Is that what we're reduced to now? Not even defining which mature trees and undergrowth habitat are being lost. It's along the railway so it's connected to and connecting habitat, a wildlife highway. And for what? The sum total of, what, three extra people max?

This is just one of so many I'm seeing flow through the inbox. It's not sustainable.

Green and leafy they said. Grey and stiff I see.

This neighbourhood is becoming really ugly. All I hear every day are chainsaws felling native trees to make way for these ugly buildings. I came here to live in a green leafy suburb and there are fewer and fewer trees around and vegetation is becoming non existent making way for more concrete and asphalt. Does the council really think this is sustainable! Please stop giving permits for the destruction of native shade trees. They never get replaced even though we are told the council is environmentally conscious. Stop cutting down our beautiful native trees to make way for carparks and double storey dwellings. Too many people moving into the area which cannot support al that extra traffic.
