As a local resident and frequent user of this park I think this application is not appropriate for the site. The council is supporting an increase in residents, without increasing services either directly, or improving the area with shops and businesses that will contribute to the community as a whole. I understand your preference to maximise the amount of units as this increases your income through tax, and this aligns with the developers desire to maximise profit. However the local streets, are too small to cope with the increased traffic, they are already used as rat runs, and putting more cars running through next to where our children are playing seems illogical. The request for increasing the height will also be out of character with the area.
