I am the to-be resident of 15-21A Bay St, Rockdale. I'm writing to seek more clarification on DA-2019-228. I have the same concerns with Jason Wei who submit amended plans on 14/01/2020.
My apartment is facing south-east in the apartment building located on 15-21 A Bay St and this building will be settled in mid-May. I have the following concerns with the proposed development on 41-45 Bay St.
1. The demolition of existing structures and future construction will reduce the living quality of all units surrounded significantly due to the construction-related noise and dust pollution. This issue will impact at least 1000 residents living in 56-110 Bay St, and 1-41 Chapel St.
2. The proposed development will block the view looking out towards Brighton-Le-Sands and reduce sunlight significantly of all units on the southeast side of the building located on 15-21A Bay St, especially for lower floors. This issue will impact at least 40 residents living on 15-21A Bay St.
3. The local traffic including Chapel St, Bay St, Cairo St, and Princess Hwy will be significantly impacted by the proposed development. These streets are already congested which will be more congested. This issue will impact at least 2000 residents living in this area.
I hope these issues could be addressed properly before proceeding further with the determination of this DA.
