As an owner, I do not agree to this application.

I already found some guests pay no attention to common area rules, which brings hazard to our building.

We are gonna pay for high maintenance fee possibly for the stay of more guests.

Not feeling safe or welcoming living environment.

I’d rather it stays where it is now.

    Dear Adelaide City Council

Hello, as an owner of west franklin, I think this application is very detrimental to our owner community.

As long-term residents here, we don't want a lot of strangers coming in and out of our living environment, which brings a lot of uncertainty and danger.

We feel very insecure and feel that this decision violates our rights.

I oppose this application and I sincerely ask the honourable council to be able to make a decision that respects the community of owners.

    Thank you

    Your sincerely
    Haiying Liang

    I oppose this application.
As an owner I am concerned that a variation and change of use to so many more guest apartments/hotel accommodation, would adversely affect my community here at West Franklin.
I value knowing my neighbours and the Community atmosphere. Some hotel guests are welcome by me, however many more would affect the balance.

I am also concerned about how the proposed change of use might affect the building maintainance charges and the future value if my home.

I am opposed to this as a long term resident I have had many issues over the years from guests spitting, dropping lit cigarettes tipping drinks, vomiting throwing used objects, urinating in public areas smoking in public areas with no regard to the non smoking sign they were standing in front of etc in which I have been left with either the cost of replacing my belongings or cleaning up after a guest that I have no control over and so I am concerned as there is no regard for owners and their property and the devalue this will cause to our homes let alone with the possibility of price increase to cover the extra costs. I am not in favour of the extra hotel rooms.

We should create a better and friendly community in our CBD particularly in our Central Ward. We have so many short-term stay (unregulated AirBNB), hotels, serviced apartments and student accommodation around West Franklin complex already. At the end, the maintenance are so high because only long-term residents are willing to care about their complex. This is not sustainable when people come and go. We should find a way to make people live in CBD and grow their family here in CBD and make the retirees enjoy the low maintenance lifestyle in the city.
While we have now a good community in our West Franklin compared to other apartment complex, having more short-term stay development are not only significantly affecting the lifestyle of the current residents, but also have negative impact on the property value and discourage people to choose to live in here or nearby long term. Simple question for you all: Would you live closely with different strangers every day, every week?

    Respected council members,
As an owner, I do not agree to this application.

I already found some guests pay no attention to common area rules, which brings hazard to our building. Found cigarettes butts even in parking area. recently there were few people stayed in one of the apartments and made so much noise even after midnight.
None of the residents have such behavior. west Franklin is a good community and I do not want it to be impacted by strangers staying here for short term and impacting peaceful environment.
I'm ok with current hotel guests, but would not want any more strangers.

I’d rather it stays where it is now.

As an owner of West Franklin,I strongly disagree with the change of the use of our building. This strategy might have bad effects on owners’ benefits as it will potentially increase the maintenance fee of the building. And I am also worry about the future value of the property as well. This is really unfair for current owners.
