- Change of use of existing mixed use local heritage warehouse building to a hotel (115 rooms) including alterations that incorporate public domain and heritage restoration works. The proposal comprises of a basement commercial use, a ground floor restaurant, a new hotel entrance fronting Douglass Street and hotel managers office in the basement and ancillary hotel bar on the ground floor. Service spaces and amenities are located on the basement and ground floor levels. The accommodation rooms of the hotel are to operate 24 hours per day Monday to Sunday, inclusive and will occupy Levels 1 - 4. The Hotel Bar is proposed to trade between 6.00am and 10.00pm Sunday to Wednesday, inclusive and between 6.00am and 12.00am (midnight) Thursday to Saturday, inclusive. The fitout and operation of the commercial and restaurant tenancies do not form part of this proposal and will be subject to a separate approval process.
