I don’t understand how 10 dwellings will fit on a single block of land. Each dwelling will either be quite small and/or be 3 storeys high. 35-37 Banool Road is a double block and 12 dwellings were built there ie the equivalent of 6 dwellings per block. There is a 3-block vacant piece of land in Threadneedle Street (just around the corner) for which 19 dwellings have been applied for - again, 6 dwellings per block (or thereabouts). I believe 10 dwellings on this block at 14 Clapham Street is not appropriate.

Well said Gail. More to the point is that we are starting to see the Victorian State Labor Government put into action the plan to densify these inner eastern suburbs ( specifically Boroondara) to the detriment of our amenity and neighbourhood character.
Our suburbs will be unrecognisable in 10 year's time as it will be full of multi dwelling developments. Just think how much MORE congested our shopping centres, our roads, our public transport etc will be! Not to mention the loss of canopy trees and gardens which deeply saddens me.
    THIS SLOW DESTRUCTION IS IRREVERSIBLE.
