In the absence of any evidence of the tree posing a threat to life or property, this Application should not be approved for the reason it contributes to CO2 mitigation.

  2. Louise Whelan commented

I am very dismayed to hear that this magnificent specimen might be removed if approval is granted. It provides essential shade onto the footpath in these very hot times for pedestrians, and looks extremely healthy. I agree with a previous objector that sustaining CO2 in our environment is crucial, and if single tree by single tree, we lose that capacity, the community and environmental quality of life will be severely compromised, not to mention the nature of our unique green environment in Chatswood West.
