Section 4.55(2) modificatin of consent for the construction of a 12 storey building over the existing Wynyard train station entrance fronting Clarence Street (Wynyard Walk) for tourist and visitor accommodation. Proposed modifications include the removal of part of the landscaping at Level 1, a 300mm reduction in the setback of the rooftop lounge from the Clarence Street elevation, reconfiguration of the rooftop lounge and outdoor terrace, the removal the enclosed wintergarden and introduction of a pergola with retractable roof, increase of maximum patrons on the outdoor terrace area from 120 to 180 patrons and changes to the proposed landscaping and external building materials. The application also includes minor design modifications to internal layouts to meet BCA and accessibility standards.
