The consulting suite car park comprises HUNDREDS of carparking spaces which are proposed to exit onto Darebin Street - a residential street. This will mean potentially thousands of additional car movements in and out of Darebin Street and surrounding streets as patients try to locate the consulting rooms. This massive increase in traffic will reduce the amenity of the area for existing residents. The carpark entrance and exit should be sited so that it spills out onto Burgundy and/or Martin Streets, Barkly Place or Stradbroke Ave, so that residents are not affected. There is adequate scope for designing a carpark entrance/exit onto another street. Using Darebin St is a lazy approach to the design of this building. Clearly, the architect has shown no consideration for neighbours.
