Firstly I wish to register my disgust at the fact I was never consulted on the building application for this site since it does affect my living and environment situation.
The building is way too high for the area, it meets the codes for apartment buildings!
It is a complete invasion of privacy as from the terraced site it looks straight into my living area and recreation area. I do not have any privacy. Already there are builders staring straight into my back doors and the chance of having enjoyment of my property is no longer. There does not appear to be any privacy screening shown on the plans, and have you taken into account that from a terraced area there will obviously be some social activity that we will have to accept as it has been approved.
If they are not going to do anything about it on their building, maybe they will consider putting privacy fencing atop of my fence to inhibit their gazes!!
It seems that the application is greedy, taking sunlight and sea breezes from our properties. It has CONSIDERABLY reduced the value of my property, and as I have lived here for more than 45 years..I am not happy. I have paid my rates to your council and feel I am worth more than being ignored while you approve a ridiculously over the top development. We ( mr Slowgrove and I )had to argue with you to get a shade cloth umbrella in front of that house before it was demolished..you said it wasn't fitting for the style of house..sorry, but there appears to be an anomaly here!!
