The site of this DA is on the ground floor of a Heritage Building and adjacent to Brett Whiteley Place and Elizabeth Plaza. Council should refuse this application on the grounds of bad taste and inappropriateness. There has been a proliferation of massage parlours in North Sydney and another one is not required in the heart of the CBD, especially in a location that has local heritage significance. Moreover, once a massage parlour moves in, the better quality tenancies seem to move away after a while.
More of the ubiquitous Thai Massage banners plastered over a shop frontage is an affront to the recently upgraded Brett Whiteley Place and Elizabeth Plaza.
Please refuse this DA.
