I oppose this development on environmental grounds and the fact that the former church belonged to the people of Cheltenham & Beecroft. Hornsby Council had no right to sell this church from under the residents in 2015 for $3mil. It must be returned to the people.

The owners have already started to removed trees prior to consent. I will be lodging a complaint with council and expect a full investigation. Photos have been taken of the trees removed.

Removal of these important old growth trees are inimical to the health of the community and our native fauna. Disgraceful.

I object to any tree removal for this DA and should any trees be removed prior to the finalisation of the determination then fines and tree replacement need to be undertaken immediately.

Please ensure the retention of the heritage on this site. The lead light windows have significance to the people responsible for their installation who would like to keep them if you do not continue as planned to preserve them in the building.

I also object to the sale of this site by Council. Hornsby Shire Council has taken millions of dollars from Epping developments (which has not been spent in Epping) and also received $90million from the State Government so there should be no need to sell off this site to fund other projects. This is a very short sighted action and should not be promoted or approved by the Councillors.

I am devastated that we have seen so much loss of heritage and of mature trees in Hornsby and Parramatta Council areas in the past few years. I call on the Council to prevent any trees being removed and to require full replacement if trees have already been removed. We have tree preservation orders for a reason....
