Parking and access to this property is severely restricted as the traffic at heaths road roundabout is already congested. Coming off the roundabout into Riverbend is a tight corner and would not cater for all the additional cars on this road or cars parking near this entrance to Riverbend , also additional traffic along Riverbend makes this road not compliant as no where to park and only one egress which is already a problem with the Italian social club opposite and the heavy traffic on heaths road that backs up to this exit .
Additional strain on electricity and water are also a major concern.
I strongly oppose this planning permit as it does not maintain the character of the area and is not in line with the overlay council implemented to maintain this area.

As a resident of Werribee for 19 years, I have seen the drive to provide smaller and smaller house blocks, and less and less areas where person's wanting a bit of space and quality can live. What is being proposed here is to change a residential block to be used for commercial use as a child care business. A simple view of the surrounding population would tell you that there are very few children living in that suburb. If this development is to cater for children for other Wyndham areas, would it not be more opportune that the child care center be situated where the children reside? Although not a resident of that area, I have family living up there and it could be a desirable place for us in retirement.I strongly object to this application on the following grounds. 1. Surrounding properties values will drop. 2. Additional traffic congestion on Heath's Road, Riverbed Crescent, and The Old Ford. 3. Plans to change the use of properties in this area is right against the character of this suburb. 4. The existing residents have paid dearly to live in a quiet neighborhood. 6. There is already only one reasonable exit to Riverbend Crescent which is opposite the Italian Club. The exit near 26 and 28 Riverbend Crescent cannot afford extra traffic. without having a bank up effects on Heath's Road and creating potentially dangerous conditions for dropping off Children.

As a resident of Werribee I object to this development;
1. The current road infrastructure is inadequate with no curb and channel system and very narrow roads. 2. Entry and exit to the Riverbend road is congested, one intersection being opposite the Italian social club which has large amounts of inflow and outflow traffic and one on Heaths Rd/Purchase St roundabout which has been stated as a dangerous intersection by the Road Safety Audit Report. 3. Not in keeping with the surrounding properties, the area Riverbend estate area has larger lifestyle blocks. 4. Riverbend estate is one of the last meduim/higher class living ares left for persons such as doctors lawyers, business owners etc and those who seek a better and larger block lifestyle.

I do not agree with this development as the areas infrastructure is not fit for purpose for the additional traffic loading and also the estate needs to remain as larger blocks to cater for residents wishing for this lifestyle.

I very strongly object to this as it does not maintain the character of the area. Riverbend Cresent remains one of the rarities within Werribee in that ratepayers enjoy living in larger blocks. Property values will drop. Traffic management is a huge concern. Parking and access to this street is already quite restricted as the traffic at Heaths Road roundabout is constantly congested. People who live in Wyndham Vale use Heaths Road and there is always constant waiting to get on to the road (turning right or left). This is already a big problem with the Italian Social Club and now with the newly built church. We simply cannot afford to have more traffic at 26-28 Riverbend Cresent.
This pocket of residential area was built for those wishing a quiet lifestyle by the river, not for it to be changed into to a commercial area.

I strongly object this application as it does not maintain the character of the Riverbend estate.
The increased traffic movements at peak times will severely impact residents exiting the estate as it is already congested and dangerous.
The proposed childcare centre entry and exit is only metres from the blind corner -an accident waiting to happen... would need to have a designated turning lane off Heaths Road for entry and exit.
this area wasn't designed for commercial activities - Wyndham city.... City - Coast - Country let's keep the "country" feel in one of the last remaining areas in the Wyndham city that residents have paid a premium for.

Are you joking? Do they know how bad the traffic is here already. This will cause absolute chaos for those that LIVE in the riverbend estate.
And child care.........would be one of the most dangerous intersections to put this. Cars come off Heaths Road quite fast to get into Riverbend.
Not a good plan......this is a residential area and not to be commercialised.

There are clearly additional vehicular traffic & pedestrian hazards from vehicle movements associated with the operation of the centre. It is clear that because the immediate neighborhood is low density and an older demographic, most of the clients would be from other neighbourhoods. It would be unrealistic to assume that other than private vehicles be used by the patrons. It would be better for all if new child care centres were located near business or public transport hubs.

I object to this development on a number or points,
1. Siting of such a facility at the corner of an already very busy area of road is hazardous on a few levels. Entry and departure of a considerable number of additional vehicles is unsustainable.
2. Siting a commercial business in what is clearly a residential area is contrary to the intended overlay or the wider Riverbend region.
3. Riverbend Crescent and the adjoining streets are not designed for increased vehicle access. Entry and exit onto Heaths Road is already problematic at each intersection.
4. Riverbend Crescent is not designed to the appropriate level to have off street parking given the width of the road. This will promote illegal parking on the verge and nature strip which is illegal.
5. Infrastructure such as the water and electricity supply are already at a stretched level. Additional demands on this infrastructure will affect all in the area.
6. This area is designed as a low density living area, not a commercial space. The council should consider the social impacts related to affects this will have on the area with respect to the expected lifestyle when each resident sought to reside in this area.
