Description

Newcastle Gasworks (Clyde Street) Remediation Project - Portions of the former Newcastle Gasworks (the site) are heavily contaminated from historical gasworks operations. Jemena propose to remediate the site to reduce the risk to human health and the environment. The Project was declared by the NSW Minister for Planning as State Significant Development on 29 October 2015. The site is also subject to Management Order number 20151403 issued by the Environment Protection Authority.
