I object to the use of the footpath as part of the venue for two reasons.
1. This will be the smoking area and as a local resident using Riley St I will have to walk past an area with concentrated secondhand smoke.
2. The area will become noisy as more people will be allowed to sit and drink on the footpath. The patrons already congregate on the Riley St side and are very noisy and rowdy. The hotel security and/or management do not control this now so I have little hope the future will be any better.
The number of doorways planned for the Riley St side opening to a residential area, appears to be excessive and they are potentially able to be left open allowing loud music to be heard well away from the venue.

I agree with the comments regarding outdoor smoking. Each day I walk down Oxford St and it is like smoking a cigarette. Council should be minimising external smoking areas not increasing the.
