These trees are mature and critical components of the streetscape and should be protected in concert with any CDC for the site. The Ferndale Creek walking track forms part of this street and these significant trees form an important part of the aesthetics of this part of the street.
There is no justification apart from utility for builders for the removal of either tree.
That a request was made to remove a tree on the public nature strip is remarkable.
